The incident occurred in the Alipur Industrial Area of Panchkula district, specifically in Barwala. A massive fire broke out suddenly at plant numbers 1 and 2 of ICL (Integrated Circuit Manufacturing Company), a company that manufactures printed circuit boards (PCBs). The fire was so intense that it quickly engulfed the entire plant. In the accident, factory owner Rajnish Garg lost his assets and machinery worth crores of rupees to ashes. As soon as the fire broke out, chaos erupted in the industrial area, resulting in significant losses.
