The road park has been named after Shaheed Colonel Manpreet, and it was dedicated by CM Mann. The family of the martyr was also present on the occasion, who said that martyrs are our pride.

In 2022, a 200-foot wide HR-2 road and a park in Sector-5A have been named after Colonel Manpreet Singh, who was martyred while fighting terrorists. The event was attended by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. During the ceremony, the road was renamed 'Shaheed Colonel Manpreet Singh Marg' and the park was renamed 'Shaheed Colonel Manpreet Singh Park'. The Chief Minister stated that martyrs are the pride and asset of the country. The Punjab government has also provided financial assistance to the families of the martyrs.
