Head constable shot dead in Chandigarh: Minor son detained, says someone shot his father; police say he's changing his statement.

A head constable was shot dead in Chandigarh's Sector-22 on Friday morning. The deceased has been identified as Head Constable Nitin. Neighbors informed the police control room about the gunshot, which they heard. Upon receiving the information, the Sector-17 police station reached the spot. Senior officials from the police department also arrived at the scene. SSP Kanwardeep Kaur also inspected the crime scene. Police immediately took the injured head constable Nitin to a hospital.
