The Special Court in Chandigarh has granted regular bail to Avtar Singh, an accused in the NDPS Act case registered at Maloya police station. In its verdict, the court cited a Supreme Court precedent and stated that the quantity of drugs recovered from different individuals cannot be considered as a commercial quantity simply because they were caught in the same case. For this, there must be concrete evidence of criminal conspiracy or abetment.
