Punjab - Doctor murdered one month before wedding: The body was found in the house of the Chandigarh SDM in Abohar; the mouth was crushed.

In Fazilka's Abohar, a veterinary doctor was murdered on Sunday (September 13) by being trampled to death. The doctor's body was found in the SDM's house, which is situated amidst fields, on Sunday morning. There were severe injury marks on his face and head. Preliminary investigations have revealed that he was attacked with sharp and pointed weapons. Upon receiving this information, a team led by DSP Amandeep Singh and police station Khuyian Sarwar reached the spot. The deceased's identity was ascertained based on his mobile phone.
