The Chandigarh police failed to prove the case of online betting on a Big Bash League match from Australia in court. The district court acquitted Sanjeev alias Sonu, Vikram Singh, and Manpreet Singh due to lack of evidence. During the hearing in court, the police could not present the official schedule of the match and the necessary electronic evidence to prove the allegations. The case is about five years old. Sector-19 police station had arrested a person on December 13, 2021.
