Chandigarh Administration's major action: Uber and Rapido aggregator licenses suspended, people in Tricity will be affected.

The Chandigarh State Transport Authority (STA) has taken significant action against aggregator companies Uber and Rapido. The administration has suspended the licenses of both companies with immediate effect for a period of 6 months due to violations of rules and non-compliance with orders. However, there is also an ongoing struggle by many drivers in this regard. The action against these companies was taken due to four reasons: ignoring driver welfare rules - following complaints from drivers.
