A young man was defrauded out of ₹1.82 lakh by posing as a bank officer. A link was sent under the pretext of creating a new credit card, and the money was withdrawn from his account in two installments.
In Jaipur, India, a cyber fraudster posed as a bank officer and defrauded a young man of ₹1,82,120. The incident occurred in the Bajaj Nagar police station area. The cyber fraudster had deceived the victim by pretending to be a bank officer and luring him into getting a credit card. The accused sent a link to the victim's phone under the pretext of a new credit card application. After clicking on the link and completing the application process, the victim received a message stating that the money would be deducted from his account in two installments. The victim, Manish Ajmera (44), is reported to have been cheated.
