In Rajasthan, 11 companies owe ₹5.55 crore in taxes: Jaipur's Samrat and Claiborne Restaurant are among them; action has also been taken against steel industries and spas.

The Commercial Tax Department in Rajasthan has taken significant action against tax evasion, underpayment of taxes, ineligible use of Input Tax Credit (ITC), and discrepancies in returns. The department conducted surveys and inspections of 11 establishments between September 15th and 17th. Preliminary investigations have revealed liabilities of approximately ₹5.55 crore. Additionally, taxpayers have deposited more than ₹1.49 crore in cash or ITC reversal to date.
