Tax department's crackdown before Diwali: Four vehicles seized without documents, 15-16 lakh revenue involved.

Ahead of Diwali, the tax department has intensified its road checking operations, seizing four vehicles in the Hanumangarh district. These include a truck carrying retail, stationery, and electronics goods from Delhi to Sri Ganganagar, on which a penalty of approximately ₹5.5 lakh has been proposed after inspection. Additionally, revenue of around ₹15-16 lakh has been recovered from three scrap trucks found without documents, and penalties are expected to be imposed on these as well.
