2. 5 lakh CM houses have not been built: The central government has withheld funds and now targeted the builders. A special committee has not submitted a report to investigate the delay in building public housing.

The Chief Minister's Housing Scheme is running in the worst condition in Rajasthan after the rules were changed earlier. Out of 3.34 lakh houses, approximately 2.5 lakh have not been built at all. On top of that, the central government has set a target to build another 28 lakh houses. When the previous targets were not met, the central government warned of stopping the grant for the Chief Minister's Housing Scheme. Alarmed by this, the government recently sanctioned 473 flats under basic services in Jaipur's Jaisinghpora Khore for nomadic and semi-nomadic families.
