The split within the Congress party, which emerged as the largest party by winning 29 out of 65 wards in the Pali Municipal Corporation elections, has come to light. Meanwhile, the BJP is seen on the back foot after winning only 21 wards in the home town of state president Madan Rathore. The Congress is viewing this split and former chairman Pradeep Hingad's rebellious attitude as an opportunity. Former MLA Gyanchand Parakh has also become active along with leaders associated with BJP state president Madan Rathore's faction.
