Jodhpur - The lottery for reservation in Gram Panchayats is being held: reservations will be decided for 649 Sarpanch positions and Ward Panchs from 23 Panchayat Samitis.

The lottery for reservations of 649 Gram Panchayats and Ward Panchs in the Jodhpur district began at 11 am today, regarding the Panchayat elections. The timing for drawing the lottery has been set differently for each of the 23 Panchayat Samitis in the district. With the lottery draw for the 649 Gram Panchayats underway, election activities will intensify in the villages. All Sub-Divisional Officers of the district have instructed their respective areas to conduct the lottery for the Gram Panchayats and Ward Panchs in the Panchayat Samitis.
