Out of the previous 250 councilors, 43 are in the fray with 82.8 percent ticket cuts; BJP has not fielded 115 and Congress has not fielded 72 again.

The BJP and Congress, the two major political parties, have clarified that this time the election will be fought entirely on the strength of new faces, with both parties distributing tickets and filing nominations for the 2026 Jaipur Municipal Corporation elections. A total of 82.8% (207 councilors) out of the 250 councilors who won in the 2020 election have been completely eliminated from the electoral race this time. The list of both parties shows that this time, a record number of 207 councilors are out of the race.
