Ajmer - BJP and Congress candidates are being confined to a resort in Pushkar: The winning candidates will directly proceed to the mayoral election; re-polling at one booth in Jaipur.

The counting of votes for the 309 urban bodies in Rajasthan will take place on Monday. Ahead of this, both the BJP and Congress have intensified their efforts to field candidates across the state. Both parties are focusing not only on their own candidates but also on independent candidates who are likely to win. After the results on September 14, only those candidates who lose will be left with no option but to return to the counting process. The winning candidates will directly participate in the mayoral voting.
