In the state of Rajasthan, the Commercial Tax Department took action against four business establishments in Jaipur, Barmer, and Kishangarh for tax evasion and fraudulent Input Tax Credit (ITC) claims. The investigation revealed irregularities amounting to approximately 1.40 crore rupees. Following the crackdown, the concerned businessmen voluntarily deposited and reversed more than 1.16 crore rupees. Maharani Travels, located in Janata Colony, had records and returns that were found to be false, leading to a significant financial loss for the company.
