The Joint Director of the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment has been arrested for taking a bribe. He was caught at his home in Ajmer while accepting ₹3 lakh, allegedly as a bribe for passing bills.

In Ajmer, the Jaipur ACB team has arrested Jayaprakash Charan, Joint Director of the Social Justice and Empowerment Department, for taking a bribe. The officer had demanded ₹5 lakh in exchange for passing bills. The ACB conducted a raid on Thursday night at the Joint Director's house located in Vinayak Nagar under the Krishnaganj police station area and caught him while accepting a bribe of ₹3 lakh. Upon receiving information about the action, the Ajmer ACB team also reached the spot.
