An army havaldar who had come home on leave in Barmer district died of a heart attack. After experiencing sudden chest pain shortly after eating, his family members rushed him to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Havildar Mahendra Kumar was due to retire from the army in January 2027. The body was handed over to his family members on Sunday after post-mortem.
