Firefighters brought the flames under control at Sethi Complex after spotting them in a shop around 3:30 pm. Meanwhile, traders were seen crying over the condition of their shops. Vikram Singh, a guard who witnessed the fire incident, said that the fire broke out due to a short circuit in the warehouse of Chhotu Bhai's bangles and Maniharon items.
