The first phase of voting for the urban bodies (municipal corporations, municipal councils, and municipalities) in Rajasthan will be held on Wednesday. Today, polling parties will take control of the designated polling stations in their respective districts for voting in 162 bodies. Voting will be held for 5,393 ward members across these 162 bodies in the state. A total of 20,623 candidates are contesting in all these bodies. There are a total of 57 lakh 52,278 voters in the bodies, who will vote at 7,683 booths.
