The district administration has initiated action against employees who were absent from election duty in the civic body elections of 2026. District Election Officer and Collector Sandesh Nayak has issued 17 CCA notices to 450 employees so far, seeking explanations for their absence. According to the notice, the concerned employees have been placed on the Human Resource Portal under Section 26 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, as PO 1, PO-2, and PO-3.
