Action taken after food samples were found unsafe: Sale of 5 packaged food products banned for 2 months; licenses of 9 establishments suspended.

In August, the Food Safety Team conducted a campaign called 'Purified Food – Crackdown on Adulteration' in various cities across the state. As part of this campaign, samples were taken from over 100 food products and tested. When several samples failed the test, the department took action against the concerned food manufacturers and sellers. During this period, the registration of three establishments was revoked for operating without a license. Additionally, a two-month ban was imposed on the sale of five packaged food products.
