The Rajasthan State Information Commission has taken strict action for not providing timely information related to the ration card in Udaipur. The commission has fined the District Food Officer (Rural), Udaipur, ₹5,000. The case is related to Prakash Chandra Salvi, a resident of Vallabhnagar Tehsil. Salvi had sought information related to his ration card under the Right to Information (RTI). However, the information was not received within the stipulated time. The first appeal was also not resolved.
