The picture has now become clear after the last date for withdrawal of names in the Rajasthan civic elections. Both Congress and BJP parties are facing a challenge from rebel candidates. After not getting tickets from their respective parties, a large number of leaders and workers have entered the electoral fray as independent candidates. Even after the withdrawal of names, 231 rebel candidates have emerged in Jodhpur, Udaipur, Ajmer, Jaipur, Alwar, Sikar, and Kota.
