Criminals get upgraded, not police: 20,000 officers for theft and robbery of ₹70 crore, only 86 for cyber fraud of ₹387 crore.

Rajasthan ranks fifth in cyber fraud hotspots, and second in ATM cash withdrawals. In Rajasthan, there are over 20,000 investigating officers (IOs) across 1,009 police stations to investigate the theft, robbery, and dacoity that resulted in a loss of approximately ₹70 crore in six months. In contrast, there are only 86 IOs across 43 district cyber police stations to investigate those who embezzled ₹387.53 crore in cyber fraud until June, including 35 RPS officers and 51 inspectors. Cybercrime is rapidly increasing.
