In Rajasthan, 7200 women will become Sarpanch: All 1253 positions in four districts are reserved for Scheduled Tribes (ST); see the lottery for Sarpanch reservation in 41 districts.

The reservation lottery for Sarpanch positions in Rajasthan's 14,403 gram panchayats was held on Thursday. The lottery, which took place at sub-divisional headquarters across the state, determined reservations for 14,403 Sarpanch positions and 1,30,584 Ward Panch positions. In the state, 7200 women will become Sarpanches and 65,000 women will become Ward Panches. Among the Sarpanches, 3058 positions are reserved for Scheduled Tribes (ST), 2493 for Scheduled Castes (SC), and 1961 for Other Backward Classes (OBC).
