Today is the farewell day for Ganesh Ji: More than a hundred processions will be taking place in the city; potholes could cause disruptions.

Anant Chaturdashi will be celebrated on Friday. On this occasion, idols of Lord Ganesha will be immersed. It is estimated that around 4,000 small and large idols will be immersed. The immersion will take place at Navagraha Kund, Brahmachari Kund, Hiradas Kund, and the Mansa Devi temple canal. The process of idol immersion started on Thursday evening, but no arrangements for lighting, barricading, or security have been made by the administration at these locations. This could lead to any accident.
