Rajendra Solanki, who became the mayor candidate on the orders of the high command and Gehlot, has changed his plan with Congress's single name. He is trying to appease the rebels who have joined BJP.

Nominations for the post of Mayor in Jodhpur Municipal Corporation were held on Saturday. Both BJP and Congress candidates will have a direct contest for this position. There are no independent or third-party candidates in the fray. The BJP has nominated Prasannchand Mehta as its mayoral candidate. Meanwhile, the Congress has fielded Rajendra Solanki, who is close to former CM Ashok Gehlot and was the chairman of UIT-JDA. Rajendra Solanki is currently a member of the Congress.
