MP youth dies in Rajasthan police custody: Severe head injury, torture alleged; Human Rights Commission seeks CCTV footage.

Rituraj Lohar (19), a resident of Mandsaur in Madhya Pradesh, died on October 5, nearly 13 days after his health deteriorated in Rajasthan Police custody. Rituraj was undergoing treatment at SMS Hospital in Jaipur. A post-mortem examination was conducted on Tuesday in the presence of a magistrate. Following this, his family members took the body to Mandsaur. The youth was arrested by the police on September 22 on charges of fraud, allegedly for bringing cheap gold from Dubai. His father stated that the youth had borrowed 22 lakhs.
