The forest department has removed encroachments in the Gorasiya Reserve Forest, clearing out huts and constructing a boundary wall in the border area.

The forest department recently launched an operation against encroachments in the Gorsia Reserve Forest of Vijaypur range in Chittorgarh district. Some people had started making new huts and enclosures on the forest land adjacent to the population of Devdugri and Jawasia villages, leading to temporary occupation. After receiving this information, a team from the forest department reached the spot and re-surveyed the entire area using old notified maps and permanent forest boundary markers.
