Former MLA murdered in dispute over lease: FIR filed against wife, MP had said she was occupying government land.

In Bharatpur's Bayana, a dispute had been ongoing for nearly two years between former MLA Atar Singh Bhadana and the people of Bhonda village regarding the access to the silica stone lease. The villagers were protesting the use of the grazing land for the lease. The matter had led to several protests and the lease work had to be halted. MP Bhajan Lal Jatav had also complained about illegal mining and encroachment on the grazing land. This dispute led to the lease being cancelled.
