UGC rollback posters in BJP stronghold: apparent effect of Shri Rajput Karni Sena's protest; BJP and Congress candidates campaigned.

In the Vidyadhar Nagar assembly constituency, considered a stronghold of the BJP, posters of the UGC rollback are visible in every ward. This is largely due to the announcement by Shri Rajput Karni Sena to oppose the BJP in the civic elections. People from the Swarna community are putting up such posters in support of Congress and independent candidates. The BJP's core voter base is moving away from it, which is a strategy being employed.
