Anganwadi workers said that the administration has cancelled election duty: they were not assigned non-ICDS work, otherwise pregnant women's services would be affected. A memorandum was submitted to the Collector.

In Jhunjhunu district, workers protested against the deployment of Anganwadi workers and assistants for non-ICDS (election) duties. Under the banner of the Worker Assistant Joint Development Committee, Jhunjhunu, a delegation reached the collectorate on Tuesday and submitted a memorandum to the District Collector and District Election Officer, demanding immediate cancellation of election duty. The memorandum was handed over under the leadership of committee president Usha Kumari.
