Former CJI Justice B.R. Gavai commented on the dispute between Acting Chief Justice (ACJ) of Rajasthan High Court Jodhpur Sanjeev Prakash Sharma and Supreme Court Justice Sandeep Mehta, saying that he was surprised to read about it in the newspaper. He emphasized the importance of discipline in the judicial system. He added that Justice Sandeep Mehta is a friend of his, and when he heard that he had written a letter to the CJI, he asked him why he did so.
