The Shardiya Navratri festival began on Sunday with the Ghatasthapana ceremony at the Sachchiyay Mata Temple in Singi Dhara, Aguna Mohalla, Churu. Devotees worshipped Maa Shailputri, the first form of Maa Bhagwati, with Vedic chants. During this time, prayers were offered for happiness, prosperity, and peace in the country and the world. On the first day of Navratri, Chandrabhan Singi and his wife, Kanta Singi, residents of Jaipur, were the main priests. They were accompanied by Pandit Shubkaran Sharma.
