Today, the scrutiny of nominations will take place for the election of Mayors, Chairmen, and Presiding Officers in 305 local bodies, including 7 municipal corporations, in the Rajasthan civic body elections. Nominations can be withdrawn until tomorrow. Meanwhile, after the re-polling results from 9 wards that came in on Thursday morning, BJP has become the largest party in Jodhpur with 45 councilors. However, an independent candidate is playing the role of kingmaker here. Santosh Kanwar, an independent councilor, is claiming to be a contender for the post of Mayor in Bhilwara.
