In protest against the proposed MDR fee on UPI transactions, traders in several parts of Rajasthan, including Jaipur, observed a 'No UPI Day'. The traders held demonstrations demanding the withdrawal of the proposed fee. They stated that implementing fees on UPI would increase the cost of digital payments. The traders have warned of an agitation if the fee is not withdrawn. Following the call from the Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Jaipur and the rest of Rajasthan observed a 'No UPI Day' on Friday.
